The eco-friendly banking card allows dzcard's customers to reduce their ecological impact while ensuring an artistic, high-quality product for cardholders.
To deal with the humongous amount of plastic waste, dzcard has the ambition to spearheaded a green movement by introducing a first of its kind eco-friendly card in South-East Asia. This innovative eco-friendly card made from renewable sources offers exactly the same functions that the customers are used to including contactless payment capabilities. The card also meets all requirements for security and reliability, and is proven to be durable throughout its active use. The card has been extensively tested to withstand normal daily stresses.
The new dzcard’s biodegradable card completely biodegrades at the end of its usable life by breaking down when exposed to landfill conditions. Made of biodegradable PVC, the "green" credit cards will be absorbed back into the environment, given the right conditions. With exposure to soil, water, compost, and other micro-organisms, 99 per cent of the card will degrade entirely within nine to twelve months. The cards leave no toxic residue when it degrades.
